Healing hazelnut elixir with ayurvedic herbs
if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know I’m a huge fan of making daily elixirs. I love testing out different concoctions usually consisting of nut milks, spices, vanilla, herbs, raw cacao, fresh ginger and more. Lately I’ve actually swapped my second cup of coffee (cappuccino) for one of these elixirs- as I find they both taste better and do my body a lot more good. Especially when it comes to that time of the month (girl, you know what I’m talking about) I notice a huge difference when I pay extra attention to what I’m putting into my body. The recipe I’m sharing today is by far one of my favourites so far; taste wise as well as how I feel after. Try it out and let me know what you think ❤️
To make his healing elixir, simply blend the following ingredients in a high speed blender, and then heat carefully up on the stove.
1.5 cup hazelnut milk (I blend 1.5 tbsp hazelnut butter with water)
2.5 tbsp raw cacao
1/2 tsp ashwaganda
1/3 tsp lucuma
1/3 tsp Amla powder
a dash of vanilla, salt and cinnamon
optional: a piece of fresh ginger
to sweeten: one pitted medjool date, a pinch of stevia or a teaspoon raw honey, agave or coconut nectar.
